Local Learning Networks
Local Learning Networks (LLNs) are meeting across the West of Scotland; there are now approximately nine Networks from Argyll and Bute to Dumfries and Galloway. Each network meets in it's own local area and operates in whatever way it needs to meet the needs of it's members; this can be through face to face meetings, email conversations, combined lunch-time meetings and potentially through discussion forums.
The main reason for organisations coming together is the desire to work in partnership, share information and resources and fundamentally find solutions to common issues/challenges. West Dunbartonshire local Practitioner Network is one example of innovative partnership working, for more about this Network please click on the following link, you will be taken to the Changing Lives newsletter http://www.socialworkscotland.org.uk/resources/pub/ChangingLivesNewsletterSpringSummer2008.pdf
